Ready To Rumble!
After a three week hiatus, Daddy's back! For us CWF WorldWide fans, this time of year is very special. This year will be even more special! In addition to the Rumble, there will also be a FanCon. I unfortunately will not be attending because I'll be fighting off a brutal college semester as it attempts to lower my GPA. You guys should still go if you can. Hit up Johnny P or JB or you can also reach them through their FanCon Twitter account. They have some great stuff planned for y'all!
On to the Rumble. Usually, Rumble winners are rewarded with a title shot. This year, the prize at stake is the Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Championship! Coach Gemini has come up with a dastardly plan to take away the gold from the man who's been a thorn in his side for the past several years. The odds are stacked as the best champion in the past century starts at #1. To make matters worse, Coach's golden boy, Roy Wilkins enters at the coveted #30. Roy's coming in fresher than Will Smith when he moved in with his Auntie and Uncle in Bel Air! Who will win every fan's favorite game of The Floor is Lava?
The Champ could fight off 29 hungry challengers and retain. Interesting note, a Rumble win is the only thing keeping Trevor from Grand Slam status. On a selfish note, I want him to retain because I haven't seen a CWF Trevor Lee Title Classic live yet, so I really want him to defend when I'm at BattleCade.
Coach's game plan could be successful and the belt could come home to the All Stars. Coach will surely have several soldiers fighting for him. We're looking at minimum 2 All Stars in Arik and Roy. Coach likes his numbers though, so I'm expecting Mace Li and Kazi to be in the mix as well.
The two scenarios above are probably the most likely, but let's look at some other possibilities. One of CWF's young guns could take the gold. The RGL is loaded with talents like Cain Justice, Dirty Daddy, Movie Maker Myk, and Jesse Adler. Don't underestimate them due to their inexperience, they will be driven by hunger! Of the four, Cain and Dirty are probably your likeliest winners, especially Cain (sorry Dirty!). Cain's just at another level right now. The chancellor debuted exactly one year ago. Last year, he came in as the newest prospect. This Saturday, he could very well walk out The Man!
We could also see someone under the radar shock the Sportatorium! Some immediate names that come to mind include Joshua Cutshall and Donnie Dollars. I feel like Donnie has always been one of those guys that's always been overlooked. It would be a great moment if the Foundation of Fatback won the big one.
The last scenario in my head is a returning warrior claiming his throne. The Sportatorium would go wild for the potential returns of Nick Richards, Brad Attitude, and Chip Day. All three men are huge problems for different reasons. Nick's wild side could really excel here. Brad has experience and a win at all cost attitude. That's a very dangerous combination. Lastly, Chip could very easily KO his way to victory.
Regardless of who wins, it'll be a great match. CWF always hits it out of the park! I can't put my finger on it, but they always do a great job at telling a story. Between this and FanCon, you guys are in for an incredible weekend! Have an extra good time for me!
